Welcome to the website of cattery Lapanto’s.
We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Ans en Patricia, mother and daughter and live in Hoorn a city 40 km to the north of Amsterdam.
I live, with my husband Han, in a very nice “Herenhuis” with a garden, where our cats freely can walk around and play. Patricia also lives in Hoorn in an apartment with a very beautiful view at the IJsselmeer. And our son Martin lives in Amsterdam.
Now at the end of 2018, there are in total nine girls and four boys. The girls are living in the garden in Hoorn, two boys are living with Patricia and two boys in Amsterdam with Martin.
It all started in 2010.
During our marriage, for over more than forty years, we had most of the time two cats and a dog. Two of our dogs were Golden Retrievers. With these Golden Retrievers we went to visit shows. This was one of the reasons when we started looking for an other cat, we decided that we wanted one with showqualities. In 2010 we brought our first Norwegian Forest cat home. Her name is Kari and in the next years more cats came to live with us. During the years we visited with all cats several shows in The Netherlands, and other countries in Europe. And all our cats are very succesfull, they all are champions. You can find the individuel results on the personal page of the cat.
We are member of Felikat, which is a member of the FiFe.

Occasionally we have kittens.
Our kittens are raised in our home, we give each kitten lots of love, attention and care. During that time we introduce them to other adults, childeren and of course to our other cats.
Our kittens are ready to move to their new homes at the age of 16 weeks. Then they will be checked by our vet, fully vaccinated (FIV, FLEV and rabies) and micro-chipped. They are also wormed several times.
All new owners are expected to sign a contract with us to agree the kittens's future welfare. The new owners should have a secure environment for their cats and at least one other cat in the house as a companion. If anytime there is a change in circumstances resulting in the kitten/cat needing to re-homed, we please ask you to contact us.
If you are interested in a kitten, you are more than welcome to contact us by mail or phone, but we don't sell kittens only after mail contact.
