Welcome to the website of cattery Lapanto’s.
We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Ans en Patricia, mother and daughter and live in Hoorn a city 40 km to the north of Amsterdam.
Most people will know us from the catshows, we are a members of Felikat, wich is a member of the FIFE.

It all started in 2010.
We had most of the time two cats and a dog. Two of our dogs were Golden Retrievers. With these Golden Retrievers we went to visit shows. This was one of the reasons when we started looking for an other cat, we decided that we wanted one with showqualities. In 2010 we brought our first Norwegian Forest cat home. Her name is Kari and in the next years more cats came to live with us. During the years we visited with all cats several shows in The Netherlands, and other countries in Europe. And all our cats are very succesfull, each cat has a personal page.
By participating in shows and helping out as a stewards, you also get to know other breeds, each breed has something special, at 2024 we welcomed a new breed into our group, two Oriental Shorthairs IC/KCH/JCH Caransia's Pikachu JW and KCH/JCH Caransia's Voltaggio JW, with their characters and appearancce, they fit in perfectly with our group of Norwegians, divided over three houses, we now have 22 cats and a Golden Retriever Monet of the Mornig Valley, during holidays, or when one of us is on vacation or atending a show abroad, all 22 cats and dog stay together in one house, is all goes incredibly well together, one big happy family.
And since 2026 Patricia is general member of the board of Felikat.

Occasionally we have kittens.
Our kittens are raised in our home, we give each kitten lots of love, attention and care. During that time we introduce them to other adults, childeren and of course to our other cats.
Our kittens are ready to move to their new homes at the age of 16 weeks. Then they will be checked by our vet, fully vaccinated (FIV, FLEV and rabies) and micro-chipped. They are also wormed several times.
All new owners are expected to sign a contract with us to agree the kittens's future welfare. The new owners should have a secure environment for their cats and at least one other cat in the house as a companion. If anytime there is a change in circumstances resulting in the kitten/cat needing to re-homed, we please ask you to contact us.
If you are interested in a kitten, you are more than welcome to contact us by mail or phone, but we don't sell kittens only after mail contact.
